Code of Conduct
At Hotel Coconut House we are deeply concerned about the safety of
children and adolescents. In May 2008 we signed a Code of Conduct to
help prevent any type of exploitation of minors derived from the
tourism industry.
This Code of Conduct is associated with a project of the World Tourism
Organization and ECPAT International - a network of organizations and
individuals working together to eliminate the sexual exploitation of
children.
This project is being implemented in popular tourist destinations
throughout the world where children may be at risk. By signing this
Code of Conduct, we show our commitment to discouraging and penalizing
the commercial sexual exploitation of children associated with the
tourist industry.
Hotel Coconut House firmly believes that tourism should contribute to
sustainable development and promote peace, human rights, mutual
understanding, and respect for all people and cultures.
